In retrospect, if you use Santa suits every year.. you should spend the money on a nice one that you can send to the dry-cleaners. The suit material is not exactly velvet, as in the fabric. It feels like a blend of stiff polyester mixed with cardboard. I suppose it's a step up from the felt-based 'econo santa suit' I bought last year.
I bought mine from 7th Avenue Store for about $63. The shipment arrived very quickly! For some reason, they used a makeshift DIY shipping box covered in tape instead of a real cardboard box. The suit came with a cheap plastic belt, pleather boot covers, a santa hat made of the same cardboardish velvet fabric as the suit, a beard and wig.
I'm a size medium womens and the elastic on the pant waist feels snug. but the jacket is HUGE!! Probably XXL? Will have to get that tailored somehow. The hat is also way to big and I don't know anyone who has a large enough head to fit that hat.
The suit is made in China. Hand wash only and there's a tag that clearly states to 'keep away from fire'. Let me say again that the suit looks NOTHING like the picture. I find it slightly irritating that none of the Santa suits online ever actually look like the product photo.
Overall, I'd say the suit is OK... better than the cheapy one I got last year. It's probably only really worth $20 at most.
