I purchased a couple of this on a local CVS for $2. For the price, you can not ask for a better decoration item for a Halloween party - or, if you are like me, to have hanging on the kitchen all year round.
I have no idea what this taste like, and I don't plan to drink them. The pouch is plastic; I find the label that states "Blood type X" quite lame since there are no X types. Why not put instead one of the real groups is beyond me. On the bright side, if you turn it over, you can barely see the letters; or you can print your own label, if you want. The candy is indeed blood red, and not completely liquid, but somehow thick. It fools the naked eye for sure! Also, it has a long IV tube and a little plastic stopper that can be moved around - I'm guessing it is to stop the candy from dripping once the bag is open.
I know there is a Energy Drink Blood Energy Potion (of which I also own one that is in permanent display); they are more expensive, although the presentation is better, but for a couple of dollars this one is worth buying.
I was thinking of giving them away as prizes at my party, but I am having second thoughts...
