(More customer reviews)I've always used water-based clown makeup that comes in a tube, but sometimes it takes quite a while to apply it. I usually need two or three coats to get the pure white appearance and to get rid of uneven color and blemishes. On the plus side, it washes off relatively easily. However, I was looking for something that takes far less time to apply and requires fewer touch-ups. I decided to try grease-based makeup. I saw a video on YouTube about grease or oil-based makeup and was amazed at how fast the person was able to apply it. I was in Canton, Ohio last night and used this Mehron Clown White makeup for the first time. I needed to quickly transform myself into a character called The Joker. I was able to do it in record time with this makeup. Grease-based makeup definitely takes less time to apply than water-based makeup.
Now here's the downside: Because I didn't buy Mehron Make-up Remover, I spent an HOUR in the shower at the McKinley Grand Hotel trying to remove this makeup. Removing it from my eye area took FOREVER. My skin took a beating from all the hot water and rubbing my face. Thankfully, I was still able to go to the pub down in the lobby before they closed.
Do yourself a favor - make sure you also buy the make-up remover. Otherwise, be prepared to spend the night in the shower, and hope you have enough hot water!
