(More customer reviews)I purchased this item with an open mind because the tiny picture doesn't show a lot of detail. Doesn't do it justice! This is a beautiful costume! The dress color is more a teal or aqua green than the blue shown in the photo, but it reminds me more of the ocean anyway. You also can't tell from the photo but the main print on the dress looks like fish scales, perfect for the mermaid theme, while the lower section has both sequins and kind of a crimped taffeta. The dress does tighten a bit around the knee area but it has enough give that one can still walk around while wearing a "tail." The bust portion is a little risky; I'll be using a double-stick body tape because it tends to slip down quite a bit; tightening the pearl section at the top will help hold it up as well. Overall a good buy and I'm excited to wear it this Halloween.
