(More customer reviews)My daughter is a small 7.5 year old (will turn 8 on Halloween), 4 ft tall and 50 lbs. We got a size Large. In length it comes just above the knee, and the orange flounce sits just below her hip, so I guess it's a little long but it looks fabulous and she loves it. It fits perfectly through the shoulders, sleeves, and neckline, which is where it counts the most in a style like this. There's a lot of extra room in the bodice, which is a stretchy fabric, so it would fit a much wider child, but I took a tuck in the back which snugs it up and adds to the flouncy-ness. I have a petite girl so I'm used to taking tucks :-) It's very well constructed, with finished seams and decorative stitching. There is, however, no black lace at the bottom as shown in the picture--the bottom ruffle is white muslin. The other ruffles are poly-crepe and the black seems to have spandex though that's not on the label. The hat is made of felt, with a stiff black brim and a black satin ribbon. The top of the brim is yellow, not seen in the photo. The hat fits snugly, like a fabric cap, so it won't be constantly falling off during trick-or-treating, and the point sticks up just fine, as shown. We are very pleased. Now we just have to get through the 3 months to go till Halloween! Shipping was fast in good packaging.
