(More customer reviews)Okay, so this review is long overdue....We got this costume for Halloween last year. My son wasn't even three yet, but he just HAD to be a pilot. :) I knew the costume would be much too big, but it was a great price (better than all others I had found) and I knew we could alter it. It only took a couple days to get here, thank goodness! I was right, it was wayyy too big, but easily hemmed. The material is thinner; lighter than that of an average windbreaker jacket. We're in Florida, so it wasn't too heavy to be hot and I think it would have kept him a little warm if we lived in slightly cooler temperatures. The patches and other details of the costume were very cute and not thrown together in a 'cheap-like' manner. The hat was cute; a little bit of an awkward fit, but I think that just made it even cuter. The only negative thing about the costume was the sharpness of the zippers and the top of the hat. The underside of the zippers were EXTREMELY sharp, cutting those of us who carried my son, and scratching my son. I would recommend pinning them down or even sticking some play-do to the backs to guard against the edges. The top button thing of the hat popped off after a few days of play, exposing a few sharp edges that were holding it on. Overall, I would recommend the costume to anyone because of how cute it is and how happy my son was playing in it for a few days. Like anything else you let a child have, I would watch out for possible 'dangers' like the zippers.
