(More customer reviews)I have never worn a wig before for a costume. This one is definitely costume quality and not as durable as a real wig. The hair in it does tend to shed, so you have to comb it out carefully. As other posters remarked, you do have to comb it to make any costume wig look "like the picture". This wig's bangs were not straight and had a slight curl to them. I have been trying over the past couple of days to train them to be straight. Also this piece is very frizzy, at least it was for me. I don't want to use gel on it since I am not confident it would store well with that gel and if I did wash it, I am concerned how much 'hair' would fall off.
The fit isn't the best if you have a small head and short hair to being with. I would definitely recommend buying a wig cap to wear with any wig. Otherwise you will find the piece slipping too much. I would also recommend getting a wig form to pin it to when trying to comb it out to style it.
Despite these short comings, everyone loved this wig and it was one of three critical pieces of my halloween costume that helped me win. The other two reasons were the cloak: COLOR CHOICES!! This specific wig was not available locally at the party store I went to. However just about every other wig made by this manufacturer was available locally including the version with red highlights in this style.
I probably would not have bought this piece locally anyway given the look of the packaging, however it was a little better than I expected. Knowing what to expect, I would probably buy other wigs made by this manufacturer for Halloween and other dress-up events.
