The material looks very costume-y, which may be a down side if you're trying to go a little more "sophisticated" -- up close, it looks like it came out of a bagged Halloween costume. It seems well made, though, and from further than a few feet away it just looks shiny and satin-y. I look forward to wearing this a lot, and it seems like it'll be up to the challenge.
