(More customer reviews)I was born in 1951, my sister in 1952, and my brother in 1954. When we were young, I used to write plays we would all put on for the entertainment of our parents. So this summer at our dad's 80th birthday party, we are going to dress up like hippies, and put on a play called "Life with Dad". I ordered costumes for each of us and this is mine.
It is simply adorable. It claims to be "one size fits all", but if you wear any size larger than an 8 this one isn't going to fit you. If you're taller than 5'6", I don't think it will fit, as the pants are just the right length for me and I am 5'5". Also the top is mesh, so you'll want to wear a cami underneath. That said, the costume is everything I had hoped for. The flowers, the headband, and the bright pink shirt pull together a look that brings back many memories of good old rock and roll and fun times. I also ordered wigs for each of us ... my brother's is a light brown afro, just like his real hair was in the early 70's. My sister and I will sport long black hair with side braids, a lot like our hair was back then.
Who wants to be a hippie? We do! Can't wait to see dad's face when walk out in costume. It'll be just like when he used to watch The Smother's Brothers ... a laugh a minute! Will this be fun? You bet!!!
