(More customer reviews)I ordered this dress for my daughter's princess-themed 4th birthday party/Halloween. It arrived quickly and looks exactly as pictured. I had debated whether to get her the toddler size or child's small, and based on reviews of other Rubies princess costumes, I went with the toddler size - and I'm glad I did! This costume definitely runs big; my daughter is an average-sized almost-four-year-old, and she'll still have plenty of room to grow into this one. I can't imagine it fitting a two-year-old.
We only received the costume today, so I can't yet say how durable it is. However, there were a few places where there were slight amounts of fraying near the seams. I was able to clip the excess material; hopefully there won't be any future issues.
My only criticism is that the inside of the dress is extremely itchy, especially where the shirt is sewn to the skirt. My daughter said she wanted to take it off within minutes of putting it on because it was hurting her, but once we put on an undershirt and leggings underneath, she was much happier. With the exception of that one issue, I'm very pleased with this costume, as is she. She can't wait for her party!
UPDATE: Two other issues that arose with this costume:
1. The tiara came with three of the "jewels" in the tiara missing. Two were in the bag and I was able to glue them back on, but the other was not there. I called Rubies about getting the tiara replaced, and they were extremely helpful and courteous. The woman I spoke to - Vera - tried several times to get us the same one that comes with the costume, but each one she had sent to her from the warehouse was missing pieces as well. In the end, she called me back and offered to send me a different tiara that they carry. They have excellent customer service!
2. While the costume itself runs big, the slippers are tiny. We could barely get them on my daughter's feet.
