Halloween was a cooler night, so we just put her in green footie PJ's and put the banana costume over top of it. The material is kind of cheesy and it looks like it would itch, BUT your kid's skin does not really touch it. The area around the face is large enough so baby's face is not rubbing the sides. I am sure you can tell from the image, but this costume is only for a small baby who does not crawl yet. The bunting style definately helps to keep baby warm as well.
